the list of names that Kyle shared with me that I passed on a few days ago are men who get NO NO NO mail….these three are in the same boat….so pass the word…looking for letters and cards…include your email address….when and if they write back if you want to send boxes go for it…
As always thank you

Wanna help a soldier out?
B-BTRY 4-42 FA IBCT 4ID
pick a name, any name, more than one is fine!
So, these folks need some mail. Want to help them out? Aren’t sure what this is about? Go here! FYI, do not repost to FB, etc. These names are current and posted with permission and these soldiers are ONLY looking for support and friendship. This isn’t a dating service (yes, I have to point that out…)
Hey guys… I got this from Kelley wanted to pass it on.
Next month (September 8th) is David’s 27th birthday! I was hoping you all could help make his day special by sending him a birthday card or email. He doesn’t want anyone to know that it’s his birthday, so naturally I am writing HAPPY BIRTHDAY in bold letters on the outside of his card so everyone will see. Below is his address.
CPT Granzow, David
HHC, 2/82 AAB

(this is just for cards…if you have questions and stuff about the SOS posts, you can read more here.)
Got this name from Kelly while I was on my trip with my guy…if you have any questions, please check out the soldier FAQ page!

His birthday is August 10th if you do send him a card it should be sent no later than August 1st, its taking about 7 – 10 days to get to the men.
this is one of my sons best friends…he will be turning 20 and is Afghanistan, anyone wanting to send a card or a package would be wonderful!)
Again, if you have questions, please check out the link to the FAQ page. This is all the info I have, and these names come from Kelly, a friend out of Ohio who works directly with a SOS unit there. Names are shared with her permission and if you include an email, don’t be surprised if you get a THANK YOU note back!
Back in February, Marjorie M. Liu and I both posted about a soldier who was needing some birthday cards…
Today, we both received an email from him.
Just wanted to email and thank you for the blog you had put up on your website with my address over here in afghanistan. I had over 100 cards in the mail for my birthday and i cant write everyone back to tell them thanks. if you can put on your blog that I GREATLY appreciate everything that I have gotten in the mail, cards, snacks, and whatever else. Thanks for the books that were signed and sent to me as well! I am very thankful for what everyone does for soldiers, especially not knowing someone! Thank you so very much!
A hundred cards, guys… readers rock.
A couple of soldiers needing cards! As always, just cards right now…if you wanna include your address, feel free. They often write back and then you can always see about sending care packages later on. Just a heads up for those who aren’t familiar with my soldier posts…I get these names from a lady who works directly with an SOS unit in Ohio and the info is about as up to date as we can expect it to be-she doesn’t get the info from the web or second hand.

Okay, so I was looking for a picture of a kitten/cat/dog/puppy with mail. But this was too cute, so we’re going with it. Got an email from Kelly for another soldier who could use some cards…his birthday is coming up. FYI… if you have questions on what to send or about these posts for soldiers, please read THIS page first-it answers most of those questions.
Hi all, we have a young soldier who has a birthday coming up next month. This is one of our soldiers from Iowa, he is a sweetie who LOVES getting mail. He emails everyone back because he wants the support from home.
His birthday is March 22nd, which gives us plenty of time to get him cards and packages if you are so inclined, but cards are what we are looking for here. Try to have in the mail by march 10th for packages or march 15th for cards.
As always thank you for reaching out to our troops!

Authors who do blogs or websites you can feel free to share.
Sounds like they don’t get mail at all. :O/
Got this small list from a captain who says these soldiers do not get mail. I told him I would help spread the word.

I would send cards or letters, add your email address, if these soldiers email or write back then invest in follow up box or package. (unless you don’t mind if they don’t write back)
As always THANK YOU!
UTA: When sending cards/letters, just take a name and put with the two lines I put in underlined text.
Please note… at this time, this is all the info I have, and all the info Kelley has. If you do hear back and want to send packages, please refer to this page which includes info on what to send and what can’t be sent.
And because I’ve been asked before, please note that the information I get comes from Kelley who works directly either through an SOS unit or, in many cases, gets the info straight from Marines or soldiers who are currently stationed out of the country. The info is about as up to date as in can get…coming straight from the…um… Marine/soldier’s mouth, so to speak.
Heard from Kelley re: 1stLt Joseph Mazzara USMC and it sounds like he’s getting lots of mail. And we’ve got another name…I know it’s too late to get him any letters or cards for Christmas, but if you have any leftover Christmas cards, I think he’d appreciate them.
From Joseph’s wife, a friend of this soldier:
This is a young, single, Christian guy. Very straight arrow, very smart (b.s. degree in Political Science). He’s a good friend! And yes, my [Jennifer's] Joseph is getting lots of mail.
He asked today for Cheez-Its.

FYI, I checked with my friend Kelley for those who do like to send packages and I’ve put together a page on what she normally sends out, and what can’t be sent. If you want to send more than a letter or card, check out this page.
