Pretty cover…man, those shiny covers really do work.

But the image online doesn’t do the cover justice. So I hit one of the local BN yesterday and saw this book shelved next to a copy of Veil… hhmmmmm… haddock, walker… nope, not alphabetical. I picked it up, half thinking I’d stick it back with the H’s instead of the W’s and I talk a look at the cover.

It’s shiny. What can I say? I’m easily distracted by shiny stuff. I flipped it over, tearing my gaze away from the shiny to read the back, and it sounded interesting. I don’t tend to do humor as much when I read, but I was in the mood for something different.

And this is gonna work. I was waiting in the drive thru for the DH’s dinner and flipped open the book-forget the TBR pile, this just jumped right into my hands.

Being the reading junky I am, first thing I did when I got home was hit her website which I’ll kindly share cuz ya know you wanna see the shiny, right?  I’m telling ya, the shiny covers, they work.
