Pretty new covers, excerpts and random babbling ahead

School started yesterday–pardon me while I go squee with excitement–okay, squee done. Now that the rottens are back to school, I have hopes of getting back into my routine. *G* I’ve actually written every day this week. This is fantastic, considering the way the past month has been. Besides vacation and plotting out my next Hunter book, I had edits come in on a couple of different books, had a couple of books release, and just general chaos, so I’m looking forward to a lack of chaos.

I’ve got a September release coming from EC and found the cover in my inbox while I was out of town on vacation.

Wanna see? Cover and other book-ish stuff below the cut…

Guilty Needs

Coming in September

Is it guilt or something more keeping him awake at night? After burying his wife, the last thing Colby wants is to feel again. The last thing he wants is to love again.

But fate has other things planned. So does his wife’s ghost.

Vicious Vixen

“A warning. Yeah. I know what kind of warnings he gives. But if you think it’s going to be easy, you’re dead wrong.”

“I have no intention of leaving a mark on you.” He lowered himself back into the chair and brought up a leg, hooked his ankle over his knee. “I’ll deal with my boss. I’ve done it before. As long as he gets his money, he’ll be satisfied.”

“I don’t have any money.”

He shrugged. “I do. I’ll handle it.”

Vixen narrowed her eyes, automatically falling back a step. She couldn’t stop the sneer that curled her lips as she stared at him. “You’ll take care of it. Man, aren’t you a nice guy? And exactly what do you want for it?”

He lifted a brow and asked, “Did I say I wanted anything?”

“People don’t shell out twenty grand just to be nice.”

That made him laugh. It was a deep, rolling sound and even though it made absolutely no sense, she liked hearing it. It warmed something inside her. “Vixen, sweet, I’m not doing this to be nice. Quite frankly, nice is something that eludes me. So, no. I’m not doing it to be nice.”

She glanced at his lap. “That means you want something. I bet I can guess what it is. Fuck that. I ain’t a whore.”

“If I thought you were, we wouldn’t be having this conversation,” he murmured. “I can’t quite decide what you are, Vixen. Petty thief. Police informant—”

She stiffened. “Like hell!”

He shrugged. “You mailed the product to the police, and I imagine you told them where to find the rest of the product. That counts as informing, I believe. But I’ve decided that doesn’t suit you either. Neither does a whore. So relax. When we have sex, it will be because we both want it, not for any other reason.”

Vixen blinked. Then she reached up and stuck a finger in her ear, wiggled it like she had something caught in there. “Excuse me? When we have sex? What in the hell you mean by that?”

A strange little smile curled his lips. Something hot and liquid pulsed through her. It was an unfamiliar sensation. Vixen had spent half her life watching from the shadows as her mother fucked any guy that would help feed her habit. She didn’t even remember how young she’d been when she first saw her mother having sex, but it had been young. Way too young. It left a mark on her and she found the idea of sex in general just distasteful. Men? Even more so.

So the rush of heat caught her by surprise.

“Yes, Vixen. When.” He shoved up off the chair and advanced on her.

She started to circle away but stopped herself, held her ground as he moved in on her personal space, remained still as he reached up and cupped her face in his hand, cradling her chin.

His touch was gentle.

For a moment, she was so caught off-guard by that, she couldn’t think of anything else. He stroked his thumb across her lip and an involuntary sigh escaped her.

“When, Vixen. It isn’t a question of if, but of when. It will happen.” His eyes narrowed on her face and the fingers on her chin tightened ever so slightly. “It’s going to happen. I know it, and soon you’ll know it, too.”

This is an erotic paranormal romance, a little weird, but it’s got a HEA, I promise.

Okay, that’s all the random babbling I have in me for now…gonna go get some work done.
