A way with words…more bratticisms

It seems that things like creativity often runs in the family. My dad wrote poetry. His mom sketched. My younger brother can draw comic book figures that would probably make Meljean Brook weep with joy. 😉

Then there’s me. I write. It’s looking more and more like the bratlet (my oldest daughter) definitely has some stories inside her head and she already has a way with words.

And ego.

We’ve been working on her first big science project. There’s a science fair coming up and she’s required to put together a project for it~whether or not it gets entered depends on how well it turns out. She decided she wanted to do it on…drum roll…

What are Saturn’s RIngs Made Of?

It’s been broken down into different assignments, first she turns in a ‘question’ (see above). Then a hypothesis (she’s in third grade. I don’t think I knew that word until 6th). Then a conclusion…and that’s where today’s post comes in.

I was going over her conclusion with her. The final part of the worksheet read:

Was your hypothesis correct and why?

Her answer?

Yes it was because I am very good at astronomy.

Man, I’m telling you I laughed for five minutes straight. If this thing wasn’t such an important part of her grade, I think I might have let the answer stand. Teachers could always use a laugh.
