Never dull?

I can’t say that being a writer doesn’t get dull. Edits? Dull. Promo type aspects? Dull. Some of the paperwork that comes with being a professional writer? Dull ~ contracts, keeping businesses straight, organizing all this junk… definitely dull.

At least in my opinion.

But there’s plenty that isn’t dull.

I have said several times that I don’t research as much as some writers, but the past year or so, that has slowly been changing. As I grow as a writer, the stories grow and tend to get more complex…complex does tend to require a bit more study. Or at least exploration.

Like last week… I was studying up on altered states of consciousness . I am a nurse, but psych isn’t my thing. So I did have to read up a little more.

This week? Oh, this week is fun (not always). I’m reading up on cemeteries. Yep. Cemeteries, private mausoleums & crypts.

Oh, the fun… *G* it never ends. Except for when I’m trying to read up and end up at a site where pre-fabricated family mausoleums are sold. It does end there. That part, not so much fun.
