Seraphim By Shelby Reed

seraphim.jpgI finally settled on a book for March, but it’s an old fave mine rather than a current read.  February was lets everybody get sick and wear mommy out month at my house, so I didn’t get much reading done as I’d like.  While I enjoyed most of the books I read in February, I didn’t quite find the one for the BOMContest, so I’m going with an old fave, Seraphim by Shelby Reed.

I first read Seraphim by in May last year, although it had been out for a while. And this one is in print & ebook now so everybody can enjoy.  Well, if you like paranormal romance.  Actually, even if you’re not too into paranormal, you might like this one.  Shelby isn’t doing the werewolf thing, the demon thing, the vampire thing…nope, she did an angel thing.

The blurb for the book

When a masked group claiming to be warrior angels kidnaps Gia Rossi, she believes it’s retaliation for her wealthy husband’s shady dealings. Squired into a high-tech underground world by her strangely gentle captors and placed under the tutelage of Joachim, their handsome leader, she soon learns that among her lost childhood treasures is a medallion, which places the fate of the world in her hands. Gia’s job is simple: locate the relic and lead the angels to it…and somehow, fight the forbidden attraction that fast develops between her and Joachim.

As commander of the angelic warriors, Joachim must protect Gia and, with her help, locate the sacred relics needed to conquer the demon Therides. But Joachim doesn’t count on falling prey to sexual attraction when it comes to their beautiful, headstrong captive and soon another battle commences, one between consuming desire for his charge and a weighty sense of celestial duty. For if Joachim and Gia succumb to the fire smoldering between them, it could prove to be the end of both their worlds.

Yet danger makes forbidden passion all the sweeter…

I was hooked from the get go.  Gia is human.  Joachim is an angel. Pleasures of the flesh aren’t something he’s allowed to indulge in.  He can’t help himself.  And apparently all was well and good with his fall from grace, since they lived Happily Ever After, after some serious heartbreak on both sides, some breath-stealing scenes where you aren’t sure if good will triumph over evil, and all the stuff that makes a romance wonderful.

This is erotic romance, however it’s not as steamy as some so for those who aren’t sure about erotic romance, this is a great book to start with.  For those who love erotic romance with a killer storyline and a romance that makes you go… awwwwwww…., if you haven’t read it, well you’re missing out.

As always, the BOMContest is open to any reader anywhere and if you’ve already read Seraphim, don’t let that stop you from commenting.  If you’ve read the book, we’ll work out a different prize.  To win, all you have to do is join in the discussion about the book… in THIS THREAD…if it’s not in this thread, your name doesn’t get entered into the drawing.

The winner will be drawn either the end of March or in early April.
