There’s a local indie bookstore here that I try to do a decent amount of buying from. I love the owner and the staff and the customers. Sometimes it’s easier just to go browse at a BN or Borders when I’m in the browsing mood but when there’s a book coming out that I know I’ll want, I have them hold a copy for me.

The problem is… well, the bookstore is about 30 miles. I’m not always up to driving out there the day a book releases. But I have to have the book…right? But then I feel guilty because I buy it from a closer chain store when this nice lady at the indie store preordered it for me.

So I often end up with doublers. And I can always figure out what to do with extra books. Push them on to a friend, throw them into a contest giveaway…or make a contest out of the doublers themselves.
