It was a dark and stormy night…
Nah…. just kidding. It’s actually been downright gorgeous around here lately. Got a ton~or at least a few inches, of rain last week which we desperately needed so we’re going into fall greener than we’ve been all summer.
Halloween looks like it is going to be clear, cool and just about perfect. The DH took a vacation day so he gets to go trick or treating with me and the kids this year. We’ll be escorting a not-so scary dragon, a knight in shining armor (or chain mail, actually) and a very pretty little princess around the neighborhood. Yes, there’s a theme there… 😉 I worked that out well. And I even let the kids think it was all their idea, too.
After trick or treating, if we can get the kids down early, I’m looking forward to a scary movie and a glass of wine with the DH while we eat some check over the kids’ candy. Gotta keep them safe, ya know. Okay, okay… so I might swipe a few pieces while I’m checking it over. I can’t let them have it until I look it over, right? And we don’t want me collapsing from lack of sugar….
Anybody got any good plans for Halloween? I’d wanted to hit another haunted house, but a stomach bug interfered with those plans over the weekend. Oh well…
