Make a Difference Day

So October 27 is National Make a Difference Day.  A day of helping out… even things like donating some canned goods to the local food pantry.  Trust me, they need it.

I’m doing this…

I’m sending clothing and books out to the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota.  They’ve got harsh winters, kids who are facing those winters without coats or clothing warm enough for said winters.  So I’m sending some stuff out there.  I’m also sending some YA books.

Would you like to help out?  Visit the Lakota Kids blog and see you how make a difference…there are many, many worthy causes out there, I know.  But these are often the invisible people in our world.  They have very few people to speak for them in the government, out in the public eye in general.

Often, they just get lost.

Nobody should get lost…especially not a child.
