#Reading

Nicole was up from Lexington over the weekend.  We talked some business stuff over lunch, had some sushi and then went shopping.   I introduced her to Lush… *G*  and she shoved this book into my hands.

It was good.  I liked it.  You might like it, too.

Charley sees dead people. That’s right, she sees dead people. And it’s her job to convince them to “go into the light.” But when these very dead people have died under less than ideal circumstances (i.e. murder), sometimes they want Charley to bring the bad guys to justice. Complicating matters are the intensely hot dreams she’s been having about an Entity who has been following her all her life…and it turns out he might not be dead after all. In fact, he might be something else entirely.

This is a thrilling debut novel from an exciting newcomer to the world of paranormal romantic suspense.

  1. I won an audio copy of this and am just beginning to listen to it. I love those shoes on the cover – wonder where I could buy a pair?

  2. Viki–if you find them, there are a LOT of us, including Darynda who would love to know. I forget the designer’s last name…Alexander something. He apparently passed away after this cover was shot and you can’t find these anywhere. I found some that were similar that he’d designed. Um, you don’t want to know the price on that *gasp*. Let’s just say selling an organ or body part could be involved ha ha.

Oh and “shoved” heh. I would never put a book in anyone’s hands and tell them they just HAD to read it. *halo*. But, I’m so glad you liked it.

Yes, you should go read this book. I am not convinced that blurb does the book justice. Charley is snarky and witty. Love her. Then there’s Reyes. Oh my my my. Now, if you’re like me and have a tendency to peek at endings…DO NOT. I was forewarned, so I was tempted, but trusted my friends. This is one spoiler you want to find out about in the natural course of the book! ;). Hope you all enjoy if you add it to your list!

  3. SHOES! I agree, I would love to have the shoes. I must check out this book. Now I am intrigued.

  4. The month (or so) before this book released, there were ads all over Facebook for it. I clicked on one, and read more about the book. Immediately intrigued by the concept. Found an excerpt somewhere, now I HAVE TO read it!

But I have to find a job first. 🙁 Or hope my library gets it in, which isn’t likely with their budget cuts.
