It’s that time of year again.  Where this part of the country talks of horses, hats and fireworks.

Yes.  It’s Derby Time.

My favorite part of Derby?

Actually… the only thing I really like about Derby?

Thunder.  Thunder over Louisville…. aka… (drumroll) The OPENING CEREMONY FOR THE KENTUCKY DERBY FESTIVAL.  So I don’t entirely see the point in why there’s a huge two week thing for a horse race (I’ve lived around here all my life… I’m not into Derby).  I like Thunder, though.

And that’s where I’ll be today.

We’ll be down at the river somewhere. Watching fireworks.

Maybe I’ll get some good pictures this year.  SOME YEAR, I WILL GET GOOD THUNDER PICTURES.
