Transformers…Frickin Excellent. Now this was a good movie. I mean gooooddddd….as in I might sneak off to see it again without rottens in tow.

The special effects were out of this world.  The dialogue was wonderful.  It had some oneliners to rival all one liners.

And it had some really cool robots.  What’s not to like?

Maggie Madsen: What are you here for?
Sam ‘Spike’ Witwicky: I bought a car. Turned out to be an alien robot.

Optimus Prime: Freedom is the right of all sentient beings.

Of course, the best line, i can’t find anywhere.  It was something like

Fifty years from now, don’t you want to look back and say you had the courage to get in the car?

Sam says this to Mikaela.  I loved it.

I’ve seen a couple of sites tearing it up for macho BS but actually, it had a girl who was every bit as tough as the lead guy and a secondary girl that was like one of the smartest people in the world.  She ‘discovered’ something that helped them to fight back.  Not so macho there.  Macho is the guys doing all the saving, not vice versa.

But then some people don’t know how to enjoy a movie unless it’s a thoughtful, drawn out, depressing thought inspiring work of motion art.  (How boring)

The movie was fun.  The special effects were killer.  It had some very funny lines and the good guys won.

That’s what a good movie is about.

But most of all… this one had BUMBLEBEE.  I want a Bumblebee.
