In 2005 (I think)  I only did the bookfair.  So this was a whole new experience.  And oye&#8230;what an experience.  My brain is still spinning.<\/p>\n<p>I got to meet some very cool people.  To name a few:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/annaguirre.com\">Ann Aguirre<\/a> (I stalked her until I found her)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/rgarlandgray.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">R. Garland Gray<\/a> (very sweet lady)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.joyfullyreviewed.com\/\" target=\"_self\">Joy<\/a> (of Joyfully Reviewed fame-she&#8217;s not as scary as I thought she&#8217;d be&#8230; *G* smoochies, Joy.  Known her for years, first time meeting her.)<\/li>\n<li>Rosemary and a bunch of other very cool ladies for Australia-some awesome booksellers.<\/li>\n<li>Jaynie R.  (known her for&#8230;uh&#8230;years?  first time meeting her, too)<\/li>\n<li>Sarah of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.smartbitchestrashybooks.com\/index.php\" target=\"_blank\">Smart Bitches<\/a> (I kept looking for her horns, I told her that I keep hearing she&#8217;s so evil, so I figured there must be horns.  She said she saved her fire-breathing for special occasions but it&#8217;s an exhausting talent)<\/li>\n<li>the infamous <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dakotacassidy.com\/\" target=\"_self\">Dakota Cassidy<\/a>.  (Need I say more?)<\/li>\n<li>Heather Osborn, editor for Tor (we stayed up talking with her and some other people and when we left, my husband looks at me and says, <em>Man, that Heather chick is <\/em>hilarious<em>. <\/em>And she is.)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.anneelizabeth.net\/\" target=\"_blank\">Anne Elizabeth<\/a> (the corset&#8230;oh, man, the corset.  I&#8217;m still in awe)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jadeleeauthor.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Jade Lee <\/a>(her energy.  I want)<\/li>\n<li>a bunch and bunch of readers.  It was fun meeting all of them, but there are a few that really stand out. One in particular was a sweetie by the name of Morgan who hails from Michigan.  I loved meeting her and her hubby (and oh, he was a sweetheart, too. Not too many women have a guy who will willingly go to something like this.  He didn&#8217;t just go with her, he was out scoping books and authors for her)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There were a TON of others, but my brain is so exhausted and I&#8217;m only remembering bits and pieces.<\/p>\n<p>Also got to catch up with friends, <a href=\"http:\/\/loraleigh.com\">Lora Leigh<\/a>, 1\/2 of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ashleighraine.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ashleigh Raine<\/a> duo, <a href=\"http:\/\/angelasknights.com\" target=\"_blank\">Angela Knight<\/a>, briefly (very briefly) chatted with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.christinefeehan.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Christine Feehan<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rhyannonbyrd.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Rhyannon Byrd<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.patricemichelle.net\/\" target=\"_blank\">Patrice Michelle<\/a> &#8230; beyond that, I&#8217;m going to have to wait until my brain catches up.<\/p>\n<p>RT was definitely fun, for the most part.  The really sucky thing was the hotel and the renovations.  The renovated rooms were gorgeous.  But half the hotel was undergoing remodeling (I&#8217;m not joking) and all the funk in the air has me sicker than a dog, but it&#8217;s not illness-as-in-cold\/flu\/contagious sick.  It&#8217;s airborn- pollutants-like-mold-dust-plaster-and-who-knows-what-else-kind-of-sick&#8230;.  sigh.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll try to post more here when my brain catches up.<\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Too exhausted to make sense.
