The Missing<\/strong> releases in mass market on July 6th…<\/p>\n

Now it’s already out in trade, still available in a few places, although if you wait until it releases in paperback on 7\/6\/10, it would mean lots and lots to me.<\/p>\n

I’m going to be posting some excerpts between now and the end of the month. If you haven’t read it yet, maybe you’ll decide to check it out when the book hits the shelves in July.<\/p>\n

LOVE LOST<\/strong><\/p>\n

As a teenager, Taige Branch was able to do \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthings with her psychic gift that others \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tcouldn\u2019t understand\u2014except for Cullen Morgan, \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthe boy her stole her heart. He did his best to \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\taccept her abilities, until his mother was \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tbrutally murdered\u2014and he couldn\u2019t forgive Taige \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tfor not preventing her death.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat are you doing here?\u201d<\/p>\n

Lifting a brow, he replied, \u201cI\u2019m looking for you.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cUnfinished business.\u201d His voice softened as he looked her over from head and toe, and Taige had to suppress a shiver. Nearly a hundred degrees and so damn muggy breathing was a chore, and he could make her shiver with just a look.<\/p>\n

Then she focused on what he had said, and she felt some\u00adthing dig at her heart. \u201cWe don\u2019t have any unfinished busi\u00adness, Cullen.\u201d Damn, he wasn\u2019t going to try to pay her or something, was he? A niggling suspicion wormed through her, and she narrowed her eyes at him. \u201cI don\u2019t want any money from you.\u201d<\/p>\n

A reluctant grin tugged at the corners of his lips as he shook his head. \u201cI\u2019m not here to pay you.\u201d That hard, sexy mouth of his flattened out into a thin line, and his eyes scanned the parking lot. He held his hand out to her and murmured, \u201cWe need to talk.\u201d<\/p>\n

Taige really, really didn\u2019t want to touch him. She\u2019d worked hard to avoid doing just that as much as possible in the few hours she\u2019d spent with him last month, but there had been a good excuse for avoiding physical contact. Now? There was no logical reason for refusing to put her hand in his. Other than the fact that she really didn\u2019t want to touch him.<\/p>\n

\u201cScared of me, Taige? Or just pissed at me?\u201d<\/p>\n

Yes. No. In that order.<\/em> But was Taige going to tell him that? Oh, hell, no. She took a deep breath to steady herself and then reached out, placed her hand in his. Instinctively, she braced herself for the onslaught of memory fl ashes that came with physical contact, and just as quickly, Taige forced herself to relax. She hadn\u2019t ever been able to pick up anything concrete from Cullen, and now wasn\u2019t any differ\u00adent. When she lowered her mental shields, she caught a few faint flickers, but none of them were solid. None of them of were defined.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhere to?\u201d she asked and hoped he didn\u2019t notice the way her voice shook just a little.<\/p>\n
