A few weeks ago, I’d emailed Alison Kent<\/a> about something biz related and when she replied, she also mentioned she wanted to add a few more authors to the sponsor list for the 70 Days challenge<\/a>.\u00a0 She asked me if I was interested.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Since I totally adore this challenge thing, I was thrilled.\u00a0 If you’re a writer or either procrastinates (like me)\u00a0 or somebody new to writing who just isn’t sure how to get started, this challenge might just be the thing for you.<\/p>\n

So… now I guess I’m an official sponsor type person.\u00a0 Maybe I should do an official sponsor-like inspirational post.\u00a0 *G* I’m not the inspiring type, but I’ll give it a shot.<\/p>\n

Okay, so how many of you have said this?\u00a0 Thought this?\u00a0 I hear it at least five times at any giving signing I go to.\u00a0 My usual response is, “Okay, so why don’t you?”<\/p>\n

Most of them, it just seems they don’t know where to start.\u00a0 Answer to that is… at the beginning.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

Make today your beginning.\u00a0 Today starts the second round of 70 Days of Sweat <\/a><\/em>writing challenge-it’s as good a time as any to get started.\u00a0 Sure as hell beats never<\/em> starting.<\/p>\n

So you signed up?\u00a0 Maybe it’s your first time and you’re doing it because you’ve always had an idea in the back of your mind and you might as well\u00a0try writing it down?<\/p>\n

Or…..maybe you are like me, the ultimate procrastinator, and you need the challenge as\u00a0 a kick in the butt to get you going to get that book turned in-so you can start the next one.<\/p>\n

Whatever reason you signed up for, you signed up to write a book.\u00a0 It can be done.\u00a0\u00a0If a slacker like me can meet the challenge, so can you.\u00a0 Stop worrying about the plot, stop worrying that it might suck, stop worrying that you don’t know what you’re doing.<\/p>\n

Ever writer who has ever published anything has worried the same things.\u00a0\u00a0 We all have doubts, we all get hung up on plots, and I imagine we’ve all thought that we were in over our heads at some point.<\/p>\n

So start your book.\u00a0 Now.\u00a0 And finish it!\u00a0 And then next time the topic of writing or reading comes up in a conversation, you won’t be one of the ones saying, You know… I always wanted to write a book<\/em>.\u00a0 Because you’ll have already done it.<\/p>\n
