Since I seem to get a lot of visitors that don’t read romances, how about 13 reasons why you should give them a shot.\u00a0 It’s also February… the month for romance…well, according to the commercials I see on TV.\u00a0 ;o)<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. You are guaranteed a happy ending.\u00a0 A romance is the only genre I know I’ll find a romance ending.\u00a0 We won’t go in to the mislabeling\/mismarketing of some paranormal women’s fiction type thing that have been promoted as romance.<\/li>\n
  2. You can find some of the most fantastic stories.<\/li>\n
  3. All sorts of subgenres, to appeal to almost every one, inspirational, erotic romance, paranormal romance, romantic suspense, romantic comedy, historical romance, even horror romance, although that’s a little harder to find.<\/li>\n
  4. Did I mention the great stories?<\/li>\n
  5. It’s not all about the sex.\u00a0 You can easily buy a romance that doesn’t have any sex at all, or just a little, or the sex all ‘behind the door’ type of thing.<\/li>\n
  6. It’s not all about the hero with the naked chest and piercing gaze, either.<\/li>\n
  7. It’s not about the heroine with the ripped bodice, either.\u00a0 The bodice rippers of the 80s are not indicative of today’s romance.<\/li>\n
  8. There are some SERIOUSLY great stories.<\/li>\n
  9. Most people, even guys, eventually get to the point where they want to meet somebody they can call their own… this is my mate\/lover\/spouse, whatever, somebody you’ll go home to, laugh with, love with, grieve with…share everything, even the bad stuff, and they will still love you.\u00a0 That’s what a romance is about.<\/li>\n
  10. There are so many romances out there, it’s possible you’ll never have to leave the bookstore empty handed.<\/li>\n
  11. Did I mention the great stories …\u00a0\u00a0 ;o)<\/li>\n
  12. Romances make up more than half of all books sold every year, so there’s got to be something in them that keeps them selling.<\/li>\n
  13. and last… but not least… I write them.\u00a0 Why don’t you give it a shot?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
