I just noticed that it’s been almost two\u00a0months,<\/span><\/em> to be exact.<\/p>\n

I’ve been busy.\u00a0 For now, a lot of my writing is ghostwriting, stories I’m doing for my client although I did start working on\u00a0Twisted<\/em>, which will be Travis Barnes’ book from the Barnes Brothers series.\u00a0 The first few chapters are with my agent and we’ll see if it sells.\u00a0 If it doesn’t, I’ll probably self-publish it.<\/p>\n

I’m dealing with a lot of…stress and my depression has been worse since my brother D committed suicide back in May.\u00a0 I posted about it last year and have mentioned it a few times.\u00a0 He had been recently diagnosed with bipolar disorder and depression and like many with those diagnoses, struggled with the need for meds, struggled with the idea that he might need help.<\/p>\n

In the end, he took his own life.<\/p>\n

I’m not angry with him.\u00a0 I hurt and I miss him, but I’m not angry with him.<\/p>\n

There are things I am angry about that I won’t discuss, and unfortunately, these things are contributing to the stress I’m dealing with.\u00a0 It’s had a negative impact on my creativity and I’m not writing as much for me as I usually do.<\/p>\n

I’m cramming on books and things are slowly starting to improve, but for the first time ever, I’m dealing with writer’s block.\u00a0 Some days, I don’t work on my stories at all.<\/p>\n

A few days ago, I got a memorial tattoo done, in honor of what would have been my brother’s 40th birthday.<\/p>\n

I *do* have some good book news…<\/p>\n

I am working on Blade’s End, the next and final Kit Colbana book, but it’s slow going.\u00a0 It may or may not release this year.\u00a0 I’ll update as I work so people know where things stand.<\/p>\n

But after a few too many close calls, he\u2019s forced to admit there\u2019s something weird going on with the pretty nurse. Something that can\u2019t be explained.<\/p>\n
