{"id":35719,"date":"2016-09-15T12:59:06","date_gmt":"2016-09-15T16:59:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.shilohwalker.com\/website\/?p=35719"},"modified":"2016-09-15T12:59:28","modified_gmt":"2016-09-15T16:59:28","slug":"depression-and-humor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.shilohwalker.com\/website\/2016\/09\/depression-and-humor\/","title":{"rendered":"Depression and humor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For somebody who doesn&#8217;t suffer from it or get it, it doesn&#8217;t seem like the two topics would go together, but they go together surprisingly well.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been dealing with depression off and on for most of my adult life and I cope well enough. \u00a0I&#8217;ve got a great family, a great guy and a career that I know a lot of people only dream of&#8230;even if it&#8217;s still sometimes like a car sputtering to stay alive.<\/p>\n<p>Coping mechanisms are one thing I&#8217;ve developed pretty well, and humor is necessary. It&#8217;s been a rough week and I was looking for funny pics on giving up. Yes&#8230;funny pics on giving up. (Don&#8217;t freak out&#8230;I&#8217;m not giving up. \u00a0I just needed a smile.)<\/p>\n<p>Usually it&#8217;s a cat picture or something like that.<\/p>\n<p>Today, I found this.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/9GAG\/status\/608657482366513153\/photo\/1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-35720 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.shilohwalker.com\/website\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/9gag-300x244.jpg?resize=300%2C244\" alt=\"9gag -
