{"id":34032,"date":"2014-11-06T10:23:17","date_gmt":"2014-11-06T15:23:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.shilohwalker.com\/website\/?p=34032"},"modified":"2014-11-06T10:25:57","modified_gmt":"2014-11-06T15:25:57","slug":"stuff-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.shilohwalker.com\/website\/2014\/11\/stuff-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Stuff"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sorry the blog has been so quiet lately. \u00a0Life has been hectic. \u00a0Things were calming down and writing was leveling out. \u00a0Then life sucker punches you, as life does.<\/p>\n<p>Two weeks ago, my brother-in-law&#8211;we&#8217;ll call him J&#8211;had a stroke. \u00a0He survived and I think, with rehab, he&#8217;ll make a pretty decent recovery. \u00a0The kick in the pants is that J doesn&#8217;t have insurance. \u00a0He worked full-time for a small place, but he had no insurance. \u00a0He\u00a0<em>will<\/em> have some now, in a month, but that doesn&#8217;t do us any good in the meantime and he desperately needs to get into a rehab facility. \u00a0Right now, he&#8217;s still in the hospital but every day he&#8217;s not get the serious rehab a stroke patient needs, the longer it delays his recovery.<\/p>\n<p>The really sucky thing is that it looks like the discharging him to home and do rehab via the home setting, which is far from ideal.<\/p>\n<p>The whole thing sucks.
