I just finished up edits on Broken.\u00a0 And… drumroll please… I did it using Dragon for the most part.<\/p>\n

(Dragon equals Dragon NaturallySpeaking-voice to text software).\u00a0 The good news is that Dragon works pretty well for edits and blog posts, as well as basic Web surfing.<\/p>\n

The bad news?\u00a0 I’m having a harder time talking story than writing story.\u00a0 I was worried about this to begin with and hopefully I will adjust well enough.\u00a0 It’s going to take some time, I guess.\u00a0 I just hope it’s not too much time.<\/p>\n

For me writing has always been brain to hands.\u00a0 Teaching myself to do it brain to mouth is a lot harder than you’d expect.<\/p>\n

Since my friendly doctor has assured me, I’m prone to various neuropathies, I guess I just have to learn.<\/p>\n

However it hasn’t all been rocky.\u00a0 Some of it’s been downright funny.\u00a0 For instance, Dragon doesn’t know naughty words.\u00a0 You have to teach them.\u00a0\u00a0 Just like you’re teaching a baby to say ‘bottle’.\u00a0 Only I was teaching Dragon to say f#ck.\u00a0 We’ll use the # and hope it spares me my weird hits.<\/p>\n

Anyway, I was doing the training and tried this sentence.<\/p>\n

Duke f#cked Ana<\/em>.<\/p>\n

What did I get?<\/p>\n

Do five quantity gamma<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Another funny…I forgot to turn the mike off when I was talking to my daughter-she wanted some milk and I told her to find her cup.<\/p>\n

Trying<\/em> (and I say that through gritted teeth) to write the next Hunters book for Berkley-Kelsey and Malachi make an appearance.\u00a0 I had Kelsey doing something innocous.\u00a0 I think she was just shooting a glance at somebody.<\/p>\n

What did Dragon have her doing?<\/p>\n

Shooting her associates.<\/em><\/p>\n
