So November is over, and that means so is NaNo.\u00a0 National Novel Writing Month.<\/p>\n
I didn’t participate.\u00a0 I never have.\u00a0 I like Sven and the 70 Days of Sweat better.<\/p>\n
But even though I’ve never participated, I’ve seen more than enough sly little insults or outright trash that some people like to do when they see the words NATIONAL NOVEL WRITING MONTH.<\/p>\n
What I’m trying to figure out is why?<\/p>\n
If somebody wants to spend a month trying to write a book, hey, more power to them.\u00a0 If they decide after they write that book that they want to try and get it published?\u00a0 Hey, more power to them.\u00a0 People will learn soon enough that writing doesn’t always equal publication but I’d bet some people aren’t writing to get published.\u00a0 They are writing to see if they can write a book.\u00a0 So…more power to them.<\/p>\n
