{"id":16764,"date":"2011-01-19T08:00:53","date_gmt":"2011-01-19T13:00:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.shilohwalker.com\/website\/?p=16764"},"modified":"2011-01-18T22:04:19","modified_gmt":"2011-01-19T03:04:19","slug":"when-was-your-last-sleepover","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.shilohwalker.com\/website\/2011\/01\/when-was-your-last-sleepover\/","title":{"rendered":"When was your last sleepover?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>O.O<\/p>\n<p>And how many of you are going&#8230; say what?<\/p>\n<p>But I&#8217;m serious&#8230;when was your last sleepover? \u00a0Not for your kids, but you. \u00a0As in a friend crashed at your place. \u00a0And you just talked. \u00a0I just had one of those. \u00a0And it was kind of fun. \u00a0As in we stayed up talking until&#8230; um&#8230;5 am?<\/p>\n<p>You see, in mostly joking manner, without completely realizing just how obsessively organized this lady is, I mentioned to my friend aka admin aka sanity saver Nicole that I could desperately use some help when my new desk arrived. \u00a0It&#8217;s not exactly a desk-it&#8217;s like a writing desk, with two hutches, a filing cabinet, etc. \u00a0Up until Saturday, I&#8217;d had one metal filing cabinet, a rolltop desk and I made do by shoving everything here, there, putting it into the attic. \u00a0But I had next to no place to keep things organized <em>here<\/em>-as in right around me. \u00a0(Still working on that).<\/p>\n<p>But Nicole, being obsessively organized, when it comes to books and such, <em>wanted<\/em> to do this. \u00a0Granted, I think she probably enjoyed the opportunity to pick my brain about books and such. \u00a0And since she&#8217;s fairly close, but not entirely close&#8230;anyway, long story short, she wanted to come help, come talk, and we decided she&#8217;d just come up. \u00a0And there were margaritas.<\/p>\n<p>We talked. Until 5am.<\/p>\n<p>We got up between 8:30 and 9:00, and then took the kids to breakfast&#8230;the DH had to work. \u00a0We came home and I alternately griped about the desk not arriving and moped, while she laughed at me.<\/p>\n<p>When the desk got here, we got it positioned where I needed it-this was a mad rush because I wanted it done BEFORE the DH got home. \u00a0And then&#8230;she organized my shelves. \u00a0It was disturbing. \u00a0She used a list. \u00a0People&#8230; a <em>list<\/em>. \u00a0Is that normal?<\/p>\n<p>But, normal or not, the shelves are neat. \u00a0And I&#8217;ve got organization.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.shilohwalker.com\/website\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/101_06681.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-16766\" title=\"101_0668\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.shilohwalker.com\/website\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/101_06681-300x224.jpg?resize=300%2C224\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"224\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.shilohwalker.com\/website\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/101_06681.jpg?resize=300%2C224&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.shilohwalker.com\/website\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/101_06681.jpg?w=448&amp;ssl=1 448w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Yes, take note of the toys on the floor. \u00a0I&#8217;m still trying to get across the point that this is <em>my<\/em> office&#8230; sigh. \u00a0Anyway&#8230;I had a sleepover, I got organization. \u00a0Nicole? \u00a0She got pizza and books and info.
