This concerns Goodreads.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m going to be going through and removing all my friends and I won&#8217;t be accepting new friend requests from here on out.\u00a0 I want to keep the account because I like having the venue there for readers, I&#8217;ve got the blog feed there, and yeah&#8230;hey, I&#8217;m a reader and I like being able to keep track of some books.<\/p>\n<p>But I&#8217;m spread too thin.\u00a0 Lately with things like Goodreads and Facebook, it&#8217;s almost like I&#8217;m keeping up with two extra websites, email addresses included.\u00a0 Social networking is great for that <em>networking<\/em> thing, but if a writer isn&#8217;t careful, it can eat up way too much time and it&#8217;s gotten to that point.<\/p>\n<p>I hope those who keep up with me through these sites understand this <em>isn&#8217;t<\/em> about me not wanting to be accessible-I&#8217;m still here at my blog, I&#8217;ve still got my email through my website-people can still contact me.\u00a0 Just not through Goodreads. I just can&#8217;t keep up with everything and still keep up with my deadlines.\u00a0 And in the end, the writing does have to come first.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks in advance for understanding and for your support.\u00a0 My brain just can&#8217;t handle much more.\u00a0 It&#8217;s about to explode and then begin leaking out of my ears&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>O.o<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>UTA:<\/strong><\/em> Those who do have questions and stuff&#8230;I&#8217;ve recently just added a new page&#8230;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.shilohwalker.com\/website\/?page_id=15027\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>an open FAQ<\/strong><\/a> where you can post questions if you can&#8217;t find the answers either thru the FAQs, the What&#8217;s New links or various book links above&#8230;my admin, Nicole and I will both be addressing questions posted and it might take a few days, but this is will be much easier and more streamlined way for me to handle things.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>UTA2: <\/strong><\/em>My break up with Goodreads is official.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve removed all friend connections.\u00a0 Goodreads, it&#8217;s not you, it&#8217;s me.\u00a0 Or maybe it is you&#8230; you&#8217;re just too high maintenance and I can&#8217;t handle you, my site, my twitter addiction and my books&#8230;something&#8217;s gotta go and you&#8217;re first.<\/p>\n<p>BUT&#8230; You can still do the &#8216;fan&#8217; me thing over there which will let you follow me and I think it lets you follow my book reviews, too.\u00a0 This just keeps people from sending me the invites, the group requests and all the inbox author spam and the inbox messages&#8211;I don&#8217;t have to keep up with that site anymore, which will be a big relief off my mind.\u00a0 I&#8217;ll still hit it a few times a month to make sure the wrong covers aren&#8217;t put up and that sort of thing, but it&#8217;s no longer something I have to do on a regular basis.\u00a0 This is a big relief&#8230;one I really think I need.<\/p>\n<p>Again&#8230;thanks for understanding.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.shilohwalker.com\/website\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/cooltext482820484.png\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-14590\" style=\"border: 0pt none;\" title=\"cooltext482820484\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.shilohwalker.com\/website\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/cooltext482820484.png?resize=234%2C165\" alt=\"\" width=\"234\" height=\"165\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Actually, several somethings&#8230;well, not terribly drastic, in the long run.
