\nAzar hovered at the fringes of the woman\u2019s mind as she slept, \t\t\t\tfeeling something inside his black heart clench painfully.

He \t\t\t\tloved watching her\u2014had been watching her for years, in human \t\t\t\tterms. It seemed like only seconds since he\u2019d first seen her \t\t\t\tthough\u2026and yet, at the same time, it felt like he had been \t\t\t\twatching her, yearning for her, for centuries.

She reminded him of someone. Someone he\u2019d loved\u2026and lost.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Lost to another like himself. Back before he\u2019d become\u2026this.

Her features were gamine, almost elfin, her wide mouth parted on \t\t\t\ta soft sigh as she dreamed. He wanted to touch her, to lay his \t\t\t\thands on her and join her in those dreams, touch her, fuck her, \t\t\t\tlove her.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

It \t\t\t\thad been eons since he\u2019d made love.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Eons since he\u2019d found a woman he truly wanted to love, not just \t\t\t\tfuck. Somebody who had touched more than just his libido\u2014and \t\t\t\tmaybe made him yearn for what he used to be.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Made him remember love.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Love\u2026it wasn\u2019t something he should be able to remember, much \t\t\t\tless want.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

But then, Azar had never been a good demon.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

And that was crux of his problem.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Most demons relished their purpose, lived to cause pain and \t\t\t\tchaos. Azar, while he may crave the dark desires that came with \t\t\t\tbeing demon, he didn\u2019t want them. He didn\u2019t like them\u2014over the \t\t\t\tpast few centuries he had found himself growing more and more \t\t\t\tbored with even those things he had craved since he\u2019d become \t\t\t\twhat he was.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

His ears detected the sudden change in her breathing pattern, \t\t\t\tthe way her heart suddenly started to slam against her chest. \t\t\t\tSomething in her dream had changed. Just as her eyes flew open \t\t\t\tand she jerked upright in bed, he faded, retreating back to the \t\t\t\tdemon realm below.

And brooding.<\/span><\/p>\n
