And that’s a wrap.  Contest is now over.  Winner names to be posted on Wednesday and per my blog rules, winners will have one week to contact me or I may draw new names for the prizes.  To avoid confusion, comments are now closed.

This is going to be fast and furious (for me, anyway, closes tomorrow) and be warned, yes, I’ll post the names within a few days, but the prizes won’t be mailed until next week-I’m going out of town on vacation and as wunnerful as you peoples are…well, vacation was already planned and the contest thing was kind of last minute-I figured people would (hopefully) be okay with waiting a few days for their prizes.

Magic Bleeds

Atlanta would be a nice place to live, if it weren’t for the magic. When the magic is up, rogue mages cast their spells and monsters appear, while guns refuse to fire and cars fail to start. But then technology returns, and the magic recedes as unpredictably as it rose.

Kate Daniels works for the Order of the Knights of Merciful Aid, officially as a liaison with the mercenary guild. Unofficially, she cleans up the paranormal problems no one else wants to handle—especially if they involve Atlanta’s shapeshifting community.

When she’s called in to investigate a fight at the Steel Horse, a bar midway between the territories of the shapeshifters and the necromancers, Kate quickly discovers there’s a new player in town. One who’s been around for thousands of years—and rode to war at the side of Kate’s father.

This foe may be too much even for Kate and Curran, the Lord of the Beasts, to handle. Because this time, Kate will be taking on family…

If you’ve loitered around here long enough, you’ll know that the Kate Daniels books are becoming my UF crack, kinda of like Lynn Viehl/SL Viehl is my SF & dark fantasy addiction, or JD Robb is my romantic suspense addiction.  ;o)   For those who haven’t read these, (although, come on…why not?), no, you don’t have to read the others to follow this one.  But once you read this one?  You will want to read the others, if you are anything like me.

I’m getting my greedy hands on this baby-but sadly, can’t keep it.  Hee hee, already read it, though.  (Yes, I had to get that in.)

I’m supposed to give it away.  Actually, them away.

Magic Strikes was probably my favorite of the 3 kate daniels books because I loved reading about kate and curran figting in the midnight games and when she broke the Scarlet Star.
