Worlds collide as three bestselling authors deliver two tales of danger, suspense, and steamy encounters.

Don’t Walk Away

by Shiloh Walker

Ten years ago, former Army Ranger Ethan Raintree made one hell of choice…keep on lying, or tell the woman he loved the truth. He decided to tell the truth, and she threw him out of her life. He never stopped loving her, not stopped wanting her. Celeste Harper finally had everything she wanted—or so she thought. She’d escaped her past. She’d escaped her demons. But she couldn’t escape herself…or the man she’d left behind all those years ago. Looking into his eyes ten years later, she realizes it’s her turn to make a choice—let go of that pain and take him back. Or walk away…and face a future without him.

Code Word: Storm

by Sydney Croft

The extremely secret Agency for Covert Rare Operatives is the only thing that stands between the human race and complete chaos. Now, two agents with special abilities, Annika Svenson and Creed McCabe, are sent to stop a man who has harnessed the power of the supernatural world. But Creed and Annika have a history that puts them at odds — and in closer, hotter contact than they’d like. In this ACRO story, which falls in the series timeline between Riding the Storm and Unleashing the Storm, Annika and Creed grow closer, despite their resistance. And with their lives are on the line, they find they must not only work together, but be together, or risk a terrifying fate that could consume them both…

Amazon | BN  | ARe | Smashwords

These two short stories contain hot guys, determined women and some sexiness. Please note…they have been previously published, but we did add some new material.

Sighing, she lifted a hand to the curtains fluttering the breeze, brushing them out of the way as she stared outside. She couldn’t see much of anything but the pale yellow circles cast by the weak streetlights. Their light didn’t do anything to lessen the gloom of the sidewalks and beyond. And although she couldn’t see him, she knew he was out there.

She knew he waited. Knew he watched her.

It was disconcerting as hell to realize that.

Easing the curtains aside, she slipped through the French doors onto the small balcony and stared down into the street. The Belle Inn was the only moderately profitable business in town. It catered to those who enjoyed spending the night in older hotels that had a history of being haunted. With the restaurant and bar attached, it managed to do a decent enough business. She stayed here every year—and hadn’t seen a single ghost.

The Inn had been redone period-style. The room she stayed in probably looked as it had back in the 1800s, with the exception of the air-conditioning and indoor plumbing.

Resting her hands on the painted wood railing of the balcony, she looked for him and tried to pretend she wasn’t. But she knew she was wasting her time. If he didn’t want to be seen, he wouldn’t.

Ethan.

He was out there.

Why?

She’d made herself clear, right?

I don’t want ever want to see you again. Nice, short, to the point.

Except she did want to see him. Man, she’d missed him. So much. Not just the physical stuff, although she’d definitely missed that. She missed him. Missed that slow, almost reluctant smile of his. Missed the way he could sit there and listen to her as though every word she said was somehow vastly important. Missed his easy strength and the way he’d made her laugh with that wry humor.

She missed feeling his arms around her at night, although they’d had precious few nights together.

She just plain and simple missed him…

Nightbound

Kindle

Anybody who knows anything about me knows I’m a Lynn Viehl fiend.  She has a new book out today. I’m buying two copies. One for me, and one for…one of you.

nightbound

Beaumaris of York has many secrets. No human can know that he’s an immortal Darkyn assigned to Knight’s Realm, the Kyn stronghold disguised as a medieval theme park. And none of his brethren can discover that he’s a half-breed, rescued from slavery as a child. Lately Beau has been yearning for action—and he’s about to find it with his new mission.

Brilliant archaeologist Dr. Alys Stuart is infamous for her extraordinary theories—especially those concerning the mysterious Knights Templar—and she is unaware that her research is funded by the Kyn coffers. When the Kyn sends a vexingly good-looking man to assist—and protect—her, she doesn’t expect the surge of attraction she feels for him.

When a powerful Templar artifact surfaces, Alys and Beau must trust each other enough to stop mankind’s greed for immortality from sparking a war between mortals and Kyn that will destroy the world.

Want it?  Just leave a comment below…tell me whether you’ve read Lynn Viehl or not, because if you haven’t, I’ll have to keep twisting arms. Just kidding.   Maybe.  I dunno.

Open internationally.  If you’re in the US or Canada, you can choose ebook or print, if you’re outside the US or Canada, you’ll have to take a print copy… sorry, I have no control over territory restrictions.

Contest open until Friday and please make sure you read my disclaimer.  You have to check back to see if you win~I’ll probably post the winner early next week.

WRECKing it up…who is it?

Kindle

authorwreckedtour

Welcome to Shiloh Walker’s latest and greatest latest and weirdest way to spread the word about new books.  This time, she enlisted fellow authors Helenkay Dimon, Thea Harrison and Alyssa Day and there is absolutely NO THEFT taking place…she didn’t go on a rampage and steal things.  She’s not trying to reunite lost lovers…nope.

These four authors are going to descend upon each other’s blogs and cause a tiny little bit of chaos.  I really wanted to WRECK things, but I didn’t think I could talk them into letting me crash our websites and that kind of defeats the purpose of promoting our new releases if you can’t access the website to read about them, right?

So…instead, we’ll just switch things up a little…you play a guessing game and right or wrong, you get entered for fun prizes.  Visit each blog, you get entered each time.  It’s easy!

This author calls her man Navy Guy.  She just spent a year in Japan.  It’s possible she used to be a lawyer…and she has a thing for B movies.

Who is she?

The Grendel roared out another threat, something about eating his nuts, maybe.  He wasn’t sure.  Grendels weren’t the brightest, even in their human forms.  Just then moonlight glinted off a very large something in the creature’s ham-sized fist, and he dove for her, pushing her flat against the roof just as the gun went off.

“He has a gun,” she said.  “An axe and a gun.”

“I noticed that,” he murmured, distracted by the feel of her body underneath him.  He was going to hell a thousand times over for this, but he hadn’t been this close to a woman in longer than he cared to admit, and he took a moment to simply enjoy the feel of her body against his.

“He has a gun,” she repeated, her eyes enormous in her pale face.  “We need to do something before he figures out a way to get up here.”

“Grendels don’t like heights,” he said, breathing in her scent, touching his forehead to hers before rubbing his cheek against her silky skin.  “I swore to stay away from you, you know?  Swore to myself.  And yet here we are.”

So… which author do think this is? Is it Shiloh Walker, Helenkay Dimon, Thea Harrison and Alyssa Day

You can visit our sites…look through our latest releases, or just take a random guess.  Right or wrong, you’re entered!

Saturday Snippets! I Need A Hero!

From WRECKED…

WRECKED

“You burned it good.”

“That’s why I’m putting it under cold water,” he said, his voice grouchy.

She shot a glance up at him, smiling a little. “Cranky.”

“It hurts,” he snapped.

“Yeah, I bet it does.” She put the stopper in the sink and filled it up, getting the water as cold as it would go.

“I was going to ice it—”

“No. Ice is bad for burns. Can affect circulation.” She guided his hand back into the water and held it there as the water started to fill up, slowly rising over his wrist and forearm. Once it was up a few inches over the burned areas, she shut it off. “There. You need to keep it in there for twenty minutes or so. We’ll keep letting the water out as it warms up and adding in more cold.”

“I need to finish the food,” he muttered, staring down into the sink.

She rose onto her toes and kissed his cheek. “I’ll do it. It’s the thought that counts and all.”

“I was supposed to be doing the breakfast for you . . . not having you cook for me. You always cook for me.”

“I don’t mind.” She went to glance at him. Such a mistake. That dream, that torrid, wicked dream continued to dance through her mind and when their gazes locked, the heat in his dark blue eyes was enough to leave her feeling like she had been scalded. Only there was no pain.

Just burning, burning heat.

The breath whooshed down out of her lungs and for a moment, she could picture herself doing exactly what she’d done in that dream. Reaching up, framing his face with her hands, and holding him as she pressed her mouth to his.

Have a torrid affair with a hot guy.

Such a simple thing, it seemed.

And if this was anybody but her best friend . . .

Night Blade release day do-over… party style. With Prizes.

Kindle

Night Blade

I’ll bring the party favors…books!  Lots of them!

You bring yourself… and …whatever you want. Now that Night Blade is available online at all the retailers now and I can actually celebrate having a book out, let’s do that.

Today. Here. Right now.

Kit Colbana is always biting off more than she can chew. She has a knack for finding trouble. This time, though, trouble finds her. Someone from her past drops a case into her lap that she just can’t refuse…literally.

People on the Council are dying left and right and she’s been requested to investigate the deaths. The number one suspect? Her lover, Damon. If she doesn’t clear his name, he gets a death sentence. Even if she succeeds? They still might try to execute him. Oh, and she’s not allowed to tell him about the case, either.

The stakes are high this time around, higher than they’ve ever been. Kit may be forced to pay the ultimate price to save her lover’s life…a price that could destroy her and everything she loves.

Snippet!

I was finishing my second cup of coffee and a donut so smothered in chocolate there might as well not be any donut when I felt the warm prickle on my skin.

A powerful male, that much I could tell without opening the door.

It also wasn’t Damon.

And I knew my early morning visitor, too.

Sighing, I glanced down at my clothes and made a bypass by my laundry basket to grab a tank top. I tugged it on over the sport bra I usually practiced in and then I made another stop.

The Desert Eagle was sitting right top of the duffle bag, all matte black and pretty. I loaded it with two bullets, though I figured I’d only need one to make my point.

I was at the door before Justin had managed to bang on it even the first time.

He had his fist raised.

Shoving the door open, I stepped back out of his reach and took aim over his shoulder. “Now it’s my turn,” I said flatly, narrowing my eyes as I aimed at the back tire.

“If you pull that trigger, I’m going to paddle your ass.”

“Yeah, yeah.” I narrowed my eyes. “You’ve seen what a Desert Eagle will do, right, Justin? I can put a bullet-hole in a man the size of a soft ball…or bigger.”

“I’ve got wards around my bike,” he snapped.

“And I’ve got magically charged ammo.”

I shifted my gaze to him and smiled. “Iron. Hollow point. Charged by a warrior out of Green House. Wanna see who wins?”

“You’re a bitch. Don’t you have a fucking job to do?”

“Yes.” I went back to staring at his bike.

“That gun is too heavy to hold for long,” he said.

“Wanna bet?”

The Desert Eagle did feel heavy in my hand, but I could hold it. The beauty of not being entirely human…I could do things no human could, no matter how strong they were.

Seconds ticked away. Finally, he spun away with a snarl. “What the fuck, Kit?”

I lowered the gun and smiled. “You ready to come in and talk?”

So… what are you bringing to my party?  Appetizers?  Drinks? Holy water to keep the vampires away? Cuz Kit’s vampires aren’t much fun….what else ya got?

I’m going to give away copies of Night Blade to those who maybe were holding off buying it.  How many?  That’s up to you. I’ll give away one copy for every twenty-five comments I get and all I ask is that if you win, you leave a review somewhere… honest opinions only!  If you hate it, that’s fine…if you love it, awesome!  Just post an honest opinion of the book at a site like Amazon, Goodreads or BN.com.  If you blog and want to leave a review on your blog, that’s awesome, too.

All winners are going to be chosen randomly and all winners will get the ebook.  FYI, this is a series and if you haven’t read the first, you’re now warned.  You can’t get the book, read it and say you didn’t know… ;)  I just told you.

Also… I’ll draw one name to get another prize…we’ll just have to see what I can pull out of my bag of tricks… er…off the shelves…um, yeah. It’s a surprise prize!

Disclaimer…you have to check beck to see if you win.  I’ll post the winners by Monday. If you won’t remember, you can always sign up to grab my feed…it’s that little follow box on the corner. Contest is only via my blog, not goodreads or anywhere else the feed gets imported.

All files are fixed.  If you’re having problems, go here and read the fixes

**There’s another snafu at Amazon. I’m aware. They are aware. They are trying to fix it. I’m just going to sit here and laugh hysterically because it’s that or break things.

A bunch of random-ness, reviews, contests, Night Blade snippet

Kindle

We had to put bratlet’s poodle to sleep today…she started losing weight and when we took her in, it turned out to be chronic renal failure.  She was only eight years old so it’s hitting us all pretty hard…thus the blog has kind of gone neglected this week.

So random stuff.

Awesome review of WRECKED over at Publisher’s Weekly…

BLADE SONG kicked BUTT when it did its  $.99 cent on Amazon… it kicked butt so well, it hit #1 on fantasy for a while and cracked the top 100 for Kindle, a first for me.  It’s still sitting pretty on some of the lists.

Amazon Best Sellers best Fantasy

Don’t forget, there are some contests going on…

a very bad job contest

Night Blade finally showed up for pre-order on Barnes and Noble.

Here’s a snippet… it’s out soon.

“Maybe I should make you fight me for it.”

He gave me a pained look.

I laughed. Sparring with Damon was fun. He had to keep the brakes on, something we both knew but when he was keeping the brakes on, he couldn’t keep up with me. Meaning I kicked his ass.

Damon was a decent sparring partner but he’d never be a swordsman.

“I’ll tell you what…I’ll answer the question, if you’ll agree to do me a favor.” I finished the attack pattern and then turned to him, smiling a little.

He wasn’t looking at my face.

Clearing my throat, I waited until his gaze shifted from my breasts upward. “You are such a man,” I muttered.

A faint grin tugged at his lips and he shrugged. Then he crossed his arms over his chest. “You know, I could just make Doyle tell me.”

“But you asked me. And I can tell you. Right now…exactly what you want to know, for a favor. All you have to do is something that’s completely within your power to give,” I said. I banished my blade. Her sheath was on one of the weapons tables and she settled there, quiet and quiescent as I strolled over to stand a few feet in front of Damon.

“What?”

“Stop.” I studied his face, wondering if he’d understand what I was asking when I didn’t fully grasp all of it myself. “Just…stop, Damon.”

A muscle pulsed in his cheek.

“You’re standing there worrying because you’re thinking Doyle could hurt me,” I said softly. “He’s still young and new enough in his skin that I can handle him…and you know it.”

Lashes drooped over his eyes.

“It would take blood and pain on both our parts, but I could do it. Plus…” I shrugged restlessly. “The kid hates me, but he trusts and loves you, so you need to trust him and stop worrying he’s going to hurt me. Trust both of us.”

“Fine,” he bit off.

“That’s not all.”

Gray eyes narrowed.

“It’s a bulk sort of favor.”

“I only asked one fucking question.”

I grinned at him. “Maybe I’ll work out naked next time.”

You can pre-order if ya want. :)
