I’m kinda in love with this little girl.
This just makes me smile.
I don’t think girls celebrate themselves enough. It seems to me that males can, and do. But when girls or women do it…there’s flack for it.
No. That’s not how it should be.
This girl is delighted and she’s awesome and she’s adorable. She’s celebrating herself and that’s wonderful. We need to encourage that.

I have not seen the movie, but I read that the flexing of muscles is sort of a signature gesture for the character she plays, so it’s more than appropriate for the moment her nomination is read out loud at the ceremony, wouldn’t you say?
So I’m with you: rock on, Quvenzhane Wallis, and keep on rocking on throughout your life.
I think I need to see it, just to see her. She’s completely adorable.
